Controversial director Ram Gopal Varma’s film ‘Bejawada Rowdylu’ with Naga Chaitanya as the hero, has created big controversy right from day one. Denizens of Bejawada or Vijayawada have taken serious objection to the title and even obstructed the film’s shooting in and around the city.
They want the title to be changed as it was derogatory to the people of Bejawada. However Varma is adamant and says he would not change it under any circumstances.
But, hero Chaitu’s stand on the title is different. He said, “I liked the story very much. It is why I am acting in the film with so much devotion. However, I have never expected it would generate so much controversy. If the controversy would end with the change of the title, I have no objection to the change.” However RGV is known to be an autocrat. How he would react to Chaitu’s words would be known soon.
